Currently scheduled for September 22, 2026. No separate early-access launch is announced in the official sources checked September 3.
Steam lists Single-player. Nintendo and PlayStation list one player. No co-op mode is announced.
Yes. Nintendo lists both Switch and Switch 2 editions for the same September 22 date. Switch 2 shows an estimated 780 MB download.
Lazy Bear co-founder Slava Cherkasov publicly said in April 2026 that the team was not using AI in Graveyard Keeper 2. That is a dated developer position, not an independent audit.
tinyBuild’s August publisher release also names Epic Games Store, GOG and PlayStation 4. Those extra storefronts are labeled publisher-announced on the platforms page because a direct PS4 product page is not locked in this guide yet. Android is not announced.
Reclaim the Town district by district. Housing, cafés, shops and infrastructure can create markets. Town quests exist, and a larger, more prosperous Town yields more corpses and potentially more skulls.
Friendly zombies operate semi-automatic machines in underground factories, including conveyor-belt factories. Each worker has individual skill progression, and red-skull corruption raises development potential.
Combat includes towers, fortifications, crafted armour and weapons, and arming/training undead troops. The September devlog also names zombie battles.
The Technology Tree adds tombs, benches, columbaries, monuments and graves, plus new designs. The graveyard still feeds the production loop of flora, fauna and remains.
The world expands to southern outskirts plus another village, tavern, forest, swamp, church and graveyard. Teleportstone is gone; Milestones are the confirmed fast-travel replacement.
The sequel is built fully in 3D with a fixed camera, weather, wind, water and fog. The Technology Tree returns beside a new talent system intended to reduce grinding.
Publisher launch material also names fishing, farming food, livestock care, trading and character customization. Those activities are documented on the gameplay page without inventing crops, fish or recipes.

The latest official Steam devlog checked for this guide confirms a bigger world, an eight-year story gap, returning iconic characters with a mostly new cast, a talking skull that is not Gerry, Milestone fast travel, designated-day character mechanics, zombie battles and conveyor-belt factories.
tinyBuild published the current release-date trailer on August 26, 2026. The April announcement trailer is preserved on the trailer page as archive footage.
The sequel still wants you to run a graveyard, raise zombies and make dark jokes about the dead. What is actually new, in official text rather than rumor, is district-scale Town restoration, factory-scale zombie labour with personal skills and red-skull corruption, towers and trained troops, Milestone fast travel instead of Teleportstone, a fully 3D presentation, and an eight-year story gap whose talking skull is not Gerry. Publisher copy also puts fishing, farming, livestock, trading and customization on the activity list. Deep pages exist for each of those systems; this homepage is only the switchboard.
Graveyard Keeper 2 Guide is not affiliated with Lazy Bear Games or tinyBuild. Pages answer from official stores, developer pages, Steam news and attributed publisher material checked on September 3, 2026. Where a screenshot shows a label such as Town Workshop or Port Area, the guide says so instead of turning the picture into a hidden mechanic. Empty walkthrough, recipe and item shells are not published before launch evidence exists.
