Graveyard Keeper 2 Graveyard
The graveyard remains a core system in Graveyard Keeper 2, but the sequel adds Tech Tree-based graveyard modules, more designs and decorations, and a stronger economic link to the growing Town.
What stays core
Official descriptions still put graveyard management at the center of the Keeper’s work. Steam copy says the Keeper harvests flora, fauna and human remains to build machinery, automate production and expand the graveyard. The sequel does not publish a list of which original Graveyard Keeper grave rules survive unchanged, so this page describes confirmed additions rather than assuming every first-game mechanic returned intact.

What is genuinely new versus what is still the job
Returning players already know the pitch: bury the dead, process the dead, profit from the dead, try not to get caught being terrible. Graveyard Keeper 2 does not replace that identity. It attaches new hardware to it. The Technology Tree now has graveyard special modules. The named set is tombs, benches, columbaries, monuments and graves, plus more designs and decorations. Those names are the entire module list this guide will stand behind before launch. A competitor screenshot that appears to show an extra station is not a source.
The other genuine sequel link is economic. Original-game players optimized corpses in a mostly self-contained cemetery. The June sequel text says Town size and Town prosperity change corpse volume and skull quality. If you restore nothing, you are choosing a thinner supply line. If you restore a working Town, the graveyard gets more, and possibly better, raw material. That is why this page keeps sending people to Town restoration instead of pretending the cemetery is a closed sandbox.
Garden context belongs here for the same reason. An official Steam screenshot shows the Garden as a current pre-release location sitting next to production space. It is outdoor context for a Keeper who still harvests flora and, in publisher copy, farms food. It is not a crop guide.
Town feedback
ol class="flow">The June devlog says a larger Town produces more corpses, and a better-supplied, more prosperous Town can yield corpses with more skulls. Cemetery work in the sequel is therefore not a closed garden. Ignoring Town restoration is ignoring the supply line.
Resource loop
Graveyard and body materials feed machinery and automation. Publisher examples include hearts, bones, brains and skin. Farming food and livestock care are publisher-announced activities in the same production pitch. None of those sentences is a body-part recipe.
Modules are not a quality-star FAQ yet
Tombs, benches, columbaries, monuments and graves are the named set. “Columbary” is the word players will search; the June text uses columbaries. New designs and decorations are official. What each module does to grave quality, how many you can place, what they cost, and which Technology Tree node unlocks first are all unannounced. This page lists the names because hiding them would make the sequel look emptier than the developers already admitted. It refuses fake plus-one-to-red-skull tables for the same reason.
Machinery still starts here. Flora, fauna and remains go into production. Publisher body-material examples sit on that conveyor. Garden evidence sits next to it so outdoor harvesting has a place to live. Town prosperity sits upstream so the cemetery is not pretending to generate its own infinite corpses. If launch-day patches publish module stats, they should land in this table as a new column, not as a rewrite of the identity paragraph.
